Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, engaging, and personalized tutoring sessions to students across various age groups and academic levels (e.g., KS2, KS3, GCSE, A-Level).
- Develop and implement individualized learning plans tailored to each student's specific needs, learning style, and academic goals.
- Assess student progress regularly, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching strategies as necessary to ensure effective learning outcomes.
- Utilise a variety of teaching resources, tools, and methodologies to make learning interactive and accessible, both in-person and online.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with students, parents/guardians, and Career.zycto administration regarding student progress and scheduling.
- Foster a positive, encouraging, and confidence-building learning environment.
- Stay updated on curriculum changes and educational best practices in your area of expertise.
- Manage your schedule effectively to meet commitments and provide reliable support to your students.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 12 months experience in tutoring, teaching, or a similar educational role.
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in specific academic subjects at the required teaching levels (e.g., Maths, English, Science, Humanities).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students of all ages.
- Proven ability to explain complex concepts clearly and patiently.
- Organisational and time management skills for lesson planning and scheduling.
- Access to reliable internet connection and appropriate technology for online tutoring sessions (if applicable).
Preferred Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in an academic discipline relevant to the subjects you intend to tutor.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs or special educational needs (SEN).
- Familiarity with the UK national curriculum and examination board requirements.
- Ability to tutor multiple subjects or teach up to A-Level standard.
