Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming goods against purchase orders and delivery notes, noting any discrepancies or damages.
 - Accurately record all stock movements, including receipts, issues, and transfers, using inventory management systems.
 - Organize and maintain the warehouse/store in a clean, orderly, and accessible manner, ensuring proper labeling and storage according to company standards and safety guidelines.
 - Issue materials and products to various departments or store branches as per authorized requisitions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
 - Conduct regular stock counts and participate in periodic physical inventory verification, reconciling discrepancies and investigating variances.
 - Monitor stock levels and report on shortages, excesses, or slow-moving items to facilitate informed purchasing and avoid stock-outs or overstocking.
 - Implement and enforce proper handling procedures for all types of goods, including fragile, perishable, and high-value items.
 - Assist in loading and unloading goods, utilizing appropriate equipment and adhering to safety protocols.
 - Maintain strict adherence to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all warehouse personnel.
 - Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports for management review.
 - Collaborate with procurement, sales, and logistics teams to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
 
Required Skills
- Minimum 1 year of proven experience as a Storekeeper, Warehouse Assistant, or similar role, preferably in a retail or FMCG environment.
 - Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office Suite (especially Excel).
 - Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
 - Ability to perform accurate stock counts and maintain precise records.
 - Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
 - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
 - High level of integrity and accountability.
 
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or Certificate in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
 - Experience with ERP systems for inventory control.
 - Knowledge of retail product categories and expiry date management.
 - Valid forklift operating license (if applicable to the specific warehouse setup).
 - Familiarity with safety standards and best practices in warehouse operations.
