Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the loading and unloading of deliveries, ensuring proper handling and documentation.
- Sorting and organizing incoming and outgoing inventory within designated warehouse locations.
- Accurately picking and packing customer orders in accordance with established procedures and deadlines.
- Operating various warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks and hand trucks, safely and efficiently (training provided).
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Performing routine stock checks and assisting with inventory reconciliation to maintain accuracy.
- Adhering to all company safety procedures, operational guidelines, and quality standards.
- Collaborating effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and meet daily targets.
- Reporting any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or discrepancies promptly to management.
- Supporting other warehouse tasks and duties as required by supervisors to ensure overall operational efficiency.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 25kg) regularly and safely.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic warehouse environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork.
- Proven reliability, punctuality, and a strong, proactive work ethic.
- Basic understanding of warehouse safety procedures and commitment to following them.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (6-12 months) in a warehouse, logistics, or general labor role.
- Familiarity with basic warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory tracking methods.
- Forklift certification (e.g., Counterbalance, Reach Truck) is a plus, but not required as training will be provided.
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
