Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive vehicle inspections, diagnostics, and fault-finding using advanced diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Execute routine service and maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks, and tyre rotations.
- Carry out repairs on engines, braking systems, steering and suspension components, transmissions, and electrical systems.
- Conduct thorough road tests to ensure vehicles are fully operational and repairs have been completed to the highest standard.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all work performed, parts used, and diagnostic findings.
- Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers regarding vehicle issues, recommended repairs, and estimated timelines.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and workshop procedures.
- Stay updated with the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques through continuous professional development.
- Contribute to a clean, organised, and efficient workshop environment.
Required Skills
- NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent recognized qualification)
- Proven experience with automotive diagnostic equipment and software systems
- Strong mechanical aptitude and excellent problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in carrying out various vehicle repairs and servicing tasks
- Valid UK driving license with a clean record
- Excellent attention to detail and high standards of workmanship
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal

- MOT Tester qualification (Class 4/7)
