Key Responsibilities
- Assist experienced painters with all aspects of interior and exterior painting projects.
- Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, patching, and masking.
- Mix paints, varnishes, and other finishes to achieve desired colours and consistencies.
- Learn and apply various painting techniques using brushes, rollers, and sprayers.
- Ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained, cleaned, and stored.
- Follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Help with site setup and cleanup, including moving furniture and covering floors/fixtures.
- Transport materials and equipment to and from job sites as needed.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding project progress and challenges.
- Observe and emulate best practices for efficiency and quality in painting work.
