Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests warmly upon their arrival, escorting them to their tables.
- Present menus, answer questions, and make recommendations on food and beverage items.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using a POS system and relay them to the kitchen/bar.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally, adhering to service standards.
- Monitor guest satisfaction, anticipate needs, and respond to requests efficiently.
- Clear tables, reset dining areas, and maintain cleanliness throughout the service period.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism, escalating to management when necessary.
- Process payments accurately and efficiently, handling cash and card transactions.
- Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Waiter/Waitress or Restaurant Service Staff (minimum 1 year)
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Basic math skills for handling payments and making change
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene procedures
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift moderate weights
Preferred Qualifications
- Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality Management or related field
