Your daily tasks will range from receiving deliveries and organizing items systematically to conducting regular inventory counts and preparing shipments for dispatch. Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, unload, and inspect incoming deliveries, ensuring accuracy against purchase orders and identifying any discrepancies or damages.
  • Efficiently store and organize stock in designated locations within the stockroom, adhering to established layout and safety guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized stockroom environment at all times, including regular sweeping, tidying, and waste disposal.
  • Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile with system records, reporting any variances to the supervisor.
  • Prepare outgoing orders for dispatch, including picking, packing, and labeling items accurately.
  • Operate basic material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks) safely and effectively, if required and trained.
  • Assist in loading and unloading vehicles, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods.
  • Monitor stock levels and communicate low stock or potential shortages to relevant departments.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure efficient stock movement and operational flow.

Required Skills

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and carrying packages (up to 25kg)
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills for inventory tracking and record-keeping
  • Excellent time management and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a stockroom, warehouse, or retail environment (6 months to 1 year)
  • Familiarity with inventory management principles or basic stock control software
  • WASSCE/SSCE or equivalent qualification
  • Basic computer proficiency
