Career.zycto is actively seeking highly skilled and reliable Masonry Workers to contribute to our expanding portfolio of construction projects throughout Redcliff, Midlands Province. Key Responsibilities

  • Lay bricks, concrete blocks, stone, and other masonry units to construct or repair walls, partitions, arches, and other structures.
  • Cut and trim masonry units to fit, using hand and power tools.
  • Mix mortar, grout, and concrete to specified consistencies.
  • Erect and dismantle scaffolding as needed, ensuring a safe working platform.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout and dimensions.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Inspect finished masonry work for quality and compliance with building codes.
  • Collaborate effectively with other construction team members.
  • Operate various hand and power tools safely and efficiently.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Masonry Worker or Bricklayer.
  • Proficiency in laying various types of masonry units (bricks, blocks, stone).
  • Strong knowledge of mortar mixing and application techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
  • Excellent physical stamina and manual dexterity.
  • Strong understanding of construction site safety procedures.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Vocational training or certification in masonry.
  • Experience with specialized masonry techniques (e.g., decorative masonry, restoration).
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Valid driver's license.
