Career.zycto is seeking highly skilled and passionate freelance photographers to join our network, specializing in both events and commercial projects across Bodles, Old Harbour, and wider St. Catherine. Key Responsibilities
- Consult with clients to understand their photographic needs, vision, and specific project requirements for events and commercial assignments.
- Plan and execute photoshoots, including scouting locations, setting up lighting, and managing equipment to ensure optimal results.
- Capture high-quality, impactful images at various on-site events, demonstrating strong adaptability to different lighting conditions and dynamic situations.
- Conduct professional commercial photoshoots for products, corporate branding, lifestyle, and other marketing materials, adhering to brand guidelines.
- Perform comprehensive post-production work, including culling, editing, retouching, and color correction using industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop).
- Ensure timely delivery of edited images to clients in specified formats, maintaining high standards of quality and consistency.
- Manage and maintain photography equipment, ensuring it is always in excellent working condition.
- Actively contribute creative ideas and solutions to enhance project outcomes and client satisfaction.
- Maintain professional communication with clients and Career.zycto representatives throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in event photography, capturing candid moments and key highlights.
- Demonstrable expertise in commercial photography, including product, lifestyle, or corporate portraiture.
- Proficiency with professional-grade DSLR/mirrorless camera equipment and various lenses.
- Advanced knowledge of lighting techniques, both natural and artificial (strobes, flashes).
- Expertise in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop for image editing and retouching.
- Strong understanding of composition, color theory, and visual storytelling.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction.
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- A compelling online portfolio showcasing diverse event and commercial work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Photography, Visual Arts, or a related field.
- Experience with videography and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro) is a plus.
- Ownership of specialized equipment such as drones, studio lighting setups, or advanced lenses.
- Previous experience working as a freelance photographer with a diverse client base.
- Familiarity with local venues and commercial spaces in Bodles, Old Harbour, and St. Catherine.
