Key Responsibilities
- Actively scout for new and emerging musical talent (artists, bands, producers, songwriters) across various genres through live shows, online platforms, and industry events.
- Develop and maintain a robust network of industry contacts, including promoters, managers, artists, and venue owners in Cayton, Scarborough and beyond.
- Attend local and regional live performances, showcases, and festivals to identify promising acts.
- Regularly research and analyze music trends, identifying potential gaps and opportunities in the market.
- Evaluate artistic potential, commercial viability, and unique selling propositions of discovered talent.
- Prepare detailed reports, demos, and recommendations for the A&R team, showcasing your findings.
- Liaise with artists and their representatives, acting as a primary point of contact during the initial discovery phase.
- Contribute to the strategic development of our talent acquisition pipeline.
- Maintain accurate records of all scouting activities and discovered talent.
- Stay informed about competitive landscapes and new technologies impacting music discovery.
Required Skills
