Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform reservoir simulation and modeling to predict and optimize hydrocarbon recovery.
  • Design and evaluate well completion strategies, including artificial lift methods and well stimulation.
  • Analyze production data to identify opportunities for optimization and troubleshoot performance issues.
  • Develop and implement drilling programs, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct economic evaluations of proposed projects, including risk assessment and uncertainty analysis.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including geologists, geophysicists, and production technicians.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in petroleum engineering.
  • Ensure all operations comply with environmental regulations and company safety policies.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in petroleum engineering roles (reservoir, production, or drilling).
  • Proficiency in reservoir simulation software (e.g., Petrel, Eclipse, CMG).
  • Strong understanding of fluid flow in porous media, wellbore hydraulics, and production logging.
  • Experience with production optimization techniques and artificial lift systems.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working in team environments.
  • Demonstrable commitment to health, safety, and environmental excellence.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's or Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering.
