Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently, under direct supervision.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing patient inquiries and offering assistance with over-the-counter products.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including receiving, stocking, rotating, and organizing medications and supplies.
- Process patient transactions, handle cash and electronic payments, and manage prescription pick-ups.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment within the pharmacy.
- Prepare medication labels and packaging, ensuring all details are correct.
- Answer phone calls, direct inquiries, and manage appointment scheduling where applicable.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations, as well as pharmacy policies and procedures.
- Assist with administrative duties such as filing, record-keeping, and data entry.
- Report any issues or concerns to the supervising pharmacist promptly.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold ethical standards at all times.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 6 months of experience in a customer service or retail environment.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications.
