Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems for anomalies, breaches, and unauthorized activity.
- Perform detailed analysis of security incidents, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in systems and applications.
- Develop, implement, and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards.
- Administer and maintain security tools, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), SIEM, and endpoint protection.
- Respond to security incidents swiftly, mitigating damage and restoring services.
- Educate and train employees on cybersecurity best practices and awareness.
- Participate in security audits and provide recommendations for compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Research and recommend new security technologies, solutions, and methodologies.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and countermeasures.
Required Skills
- Minimum 4 years of experience in an IT security role.
- Proficiency with security information and event management (SIEM) systems.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and web applications.
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys) and penetration testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
- Knowledge of incident response procedures and forensic analysis.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CySA+, CEH, or CISSP.
- Experience with cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Scripting skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation.
