This is an exceptional opportunity for an individual ready for an immediate start, eager to lead and innovate within a dynamic and ethical farming environment.

As our Livestock Manager, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the health, productivity, and welfare of our diverse animal populations. Your role is critical to maintaining the highest standards of animal husbandry, optimizing operational efficiency, and implementing sustainable practices across all livestock operations. You will oversee all aspects of our animal management programs, from daily feeding and care routines to breeding, health protocols, and facility maintenance. This includes developing and executing feeding schedules, monitoring animal health and behavior, administering treatments, and collaborating with veterinary professionals to maintain herd health.

Beyond the daily care, you will be responsible for strategically planning and managing livestock inventories, implementing breeding programs to achieve genetic improvement goals, and ensuring compliance with all relevant agricultural regulations and animal welfare standards. Leadership is a key component of this role, as you will supervise and mentor a dedicated team of farmhands and livestock technicians, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement. You will also manage budgets related to feed, veterinary supplies, and equipment, optimizing resource allocation to achieve cost-effectiveness without compromising animal welfare or product quality.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mind, capable of detailed record-keeping for breeding cycles, health records, feed consumption, and production metrics. These insights will be crucial for informed decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives. You will also be instrumental in implementing and adhering to biosecurity protocols to prevent disease outbreaks and maintain a healthy environment for our animals. Career.zycto is committed to innovation, and we expect our Livestock Manager to explore and integrate new technologies and best practices to enhance our operations and further our sustainability goals.
