As a Project Scheduling Trainee, you will play a crucial role in assisting Project Managers and Senior Schedulers in developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules. This includes understanding work breakdown structures, critical path analysis, resource allocation, and progress tracking. We are looking for someone eager to learn, with a strong aptitude for analytical thinking and problem-solving. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of project schedules using appropriate software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6).
  • Support the creation of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and activity definitions.
  • Aid in resource leveling and allocation within project schedules.
  • Track project progress, update schedules, and identify potential delays or conflicts.
  • Prepare basic progress reports and contribute to schedule analysis.
  • Collaborate with project teams to gather scheduling information and clarify requirements.
  • Participate in project meetings and take notes related to scheduling updates.
  • Learn and adhere to project scheduling best practices and company standards.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Engineering, Project Management) is an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy.
