Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections of railway tracks, switches, crossings, and associated infrastructure.
- Conduct preventative maintenance tasks to ensure optimal track condition and longevity.
- Carry out repairs including rail welding, tie replacement, ballast adjustments, and minor structural work.
- Operate and maintain specialized railway equipment and hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Respond to emergency call-outs for track defects, derailments, or other incidents.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, industry regulations, and government guidelines.
- Work effectively as part of a team, communicating clearly with supervisors and colleagues.
- Document work performed, inspections, and material usage accurately.
