As a Smart Contract Developer, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, testing, and deploying smart contracts on various blockchain platforms, primarily Ethereum and its L2 solutions. You will collaborate closely with our product managers, backend engineers, and UX/UI designers to translate complex requirements into elegant and secure code. A deep understanding of blockchain principles, cryptographic methods, and decentralised application architectures is essential. We are looking for someone who is not only proficient in Solidity but also passionate about staying abreast of the latest advancements in the blockchain space, including new protocols, security best practices, and emerging development tools.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy secure and efficient smart contracts using Solidity and other relevant blockchain languages.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, design, backend) to define technical requirements and translate them into robust solutions.
- Perform code audits, security reviews, and implement best practices to prevent vulnerabilities in smart contracts.
- Integrate smart contracts with front-end applications and backend services using Web3.js, Ethers.js, or similar libraries.
- Write comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests for all smart contract functionalities.
- Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Stay updated with the latest trends, protocols, and security advancements in the blockchain and Web3 ecosystem.
- Contribute to technical documentation and maintain clear records of development processes and decisions.
- Mentor junior developers and share knowledge within the team.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Solidity and understanding of EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine).
- Strong understanding of blockchain fundamentals, cryptography, and decentralised systems.
- Experience with development tools like Hardhat, Truffle, Foundry, OpenZeppelin.
- Familiarity with Web3.js or Ethers.js for front-end interaction.
- Solid grasp of software development best practices, including version control (Git), testing, and CI/CD.
- Experience with secure coding principles and common smart contract vulnerabilities (e.g., reentrancy, integer overflow).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with other blockchain platforms (e.g., Polygon, Binance Smart Chain, Avalanche) or Layer 2 solutions.
- Familiarity with cryptographic libraries and zero-knowledge proofs (ZKPs).
- Experience with token standards (ERC-20, ERC-721, ERC-1155) and DeFi protocols.
