Key Responsibilities
- Operate various industrial sewing machines (e.g., single-needle, overlock, buttonhole) to produce garments and textile products according to precise specifications.
- Read and accurately interpret work orders, patterns, and technical production specifications to ensure correct garment assembly.
- Monitor machine operation diligently to identify and address problems such as defective stitching, thread breaks, or minor machine malfunctions.
- Adjust machine settings, including thread tension, stitch length, and presser foot pressure, to accommodate different fabric types and design requirements.
- Perform routine basic machine maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, and changing needles, reporting any major mechanical issues to supervisors or maintenance staff promptly.
- Conduct thorough quality inspections of finished products, trimming excess material or threads, and ensuring adherence to design standards and quality benchmarks.
- Consistently meet or exceed daily production targets while upholding the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
- Strictly adhere to all company safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, designers, and supervisors to ensure a smooth and efficient production workflow.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation throughout the shift.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (at least 2 years) as a Sewing Machine Operator in a textile manufacturing or apparel production environment.
- Proficiency in operating multiple types of industrial sewing machines.
- Exceptional hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for precise fabric handling and stitching.
- Strong attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to accurately read and interpret patterns, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Fundamental understanding of various fabric types, their properties, and appropriate handling techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, target-driven production environment.
- Good communication skills and a cooperative, team-oriented attitude.
- Basic knowledge of workplace safety procedures relevant to a textile factory setting.
Preferred Qualifications
