As our Podcast Producer, you will be the creative and technical backbone of our audio projects. You’ll work closely with content strategists, hosts, and marketing teams to develop compelling podcast series that resonate with our target listeners. Your role will involve meticulously planning episodes, ensuring high-quality recordings both in-studio and remotely, and transforming raw audio into polished, professional-grade productions that captivate and inform. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, can manage multiple projects simultaneously, and possesses a keen ear for detail and a strong sense of rhythm and pacing, ensuring every minute of our podcasts is engaging and impactful.
Your day-to-day will be diverse, ranging from script breakdown and talent coaching to advanced audio editing, mixing, and mastering using industry-standard software. You’ll be responsible for sourcing appropriate music, crafting compelling soundscapes, selecting impactful sound effects, and ensuring all audio elements are seamlessly integrated to create an immersive listening experience. Beyond production, you will manage publishing schedules, optimize content for various distribution platforms including RSS feeds and podcast aggregators, and collaborate with our marketing team to promote new episodes effectively. Furthermore, you will monitor performance metrics, gather listener feedback, and continuously refine our podcast strategy to ensure we are always delivering top-tier content. Key Responsibilities
- Conceptualize, plan, and produce engaging podcast episodes from start to finish.
- Manage pre-production tasks including script development, guest outreach, and scheduling.
- Direct and record podcast hosts and guests, ensuring high-quality audio capture.
- Perform advanced audio editing, mixing, and mastering to industry standards.
- Design soundscapes, select music, and incorporate sound effects to enhance narrative.
- Collaborate with content, marketing, and design teams to align podcast strategy.
- Manage podcast publishing, distribution, and optimization across various platforms.
- Monitor podcast performance metrics and audience feedback to inform future content.
- Stay updated on podcasting trends, technologies, and best practices.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Podcast Producer or similar audio production role.
- Proficiency with audio editing software (e.g., Adobe Audition, Pro Tools, Logic Pro X).
- Strong understanding of audio recording techniques and equipment.
- Excellent storytelling and narrative development skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects under deadlines.
