Job Description
Career.zycto is on the hunt for a highly skilled and passionate Azure Cloud Specialist to join our thriving team in Blackpool. This is an exceptional opportunity for an individual with a deep understanding of Microsoft Azure services to play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and managing robust, scalable, and secure cloud solutions for our diverse client base. As an Azure Cloud Specialist, you will be instrumental in translating business requirements into technical cloud solutions, optimizing existing cloud infrastructure, and ensuring operational excellence across all Azure environments.
You will be a key contributor to our ongoing projects, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams including software developers, system architects, and project managers. Your daily tasks will involve everything from infrastructure as code deployments using Azure DevOps and ARM/Bicep templates, to advanced troubleshooting and performance tuning of Azure resources. We are looking for someone who not only possesses strong technical acumen but also has a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage secure and scalable Azure cloud solutions, adhering to industry best practices.
- Deploy and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Bicep, or Terraform.
- Monitor Azure environments for performance, security, and cost optimization, implementing necessary adjustments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud infrastructure issues, ensuring high availability and reliability.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate Azure services into application architectures.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for Azure environments, configurations, and procedures.
- Participate in defining cloud governance policies, security standards, and compliance frameworks.
- Provide expert guidance and support to internal teams on Azure-related technologies and best practices.
- Automate routine operational tasks using Azure Automation, PowerShell, or Azure CLI.
- Contribute to disaster recovery and business continuity planning for cloud-based systems.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
- Proficiency in Azure Networking (VNets, ExpressRoute, VPN Gateways, DNS)
- Strong understanding of Azure Identity and Access Management (Azure AD, RBAC)
- Experience with Azure Compute (VMs, Azure Kubernetes Service, App Services)
- Familiarity with Azure Storage solutions (Blob, Files, Disk Storage)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform)
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines
- Scripting skills in PowerShell or Azure CLI
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
- Experience with other cloud platforms (AWS, GCP)
- Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with monitoring tools like Azure Monitor, Log Analytics
- Familiarity with security best practices in cloud environments
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
