Key Responsibilities
- Prepare various surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, patching, and cleaning.
- Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
- Repair cracks and holes in walls and other surfaces.
- Mix and match paint colours to achieve desired hues and finishes.
- Cover surfaces with drop cloths or masking tape and paper to protect from paint.
- Inspect finished surfaces for quality and address any imperfections.
- Clean up work areas and equipment thoroughly after each job.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding project status and any issues.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations on all job sites.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a residential painter with a strong portfolio.
- Excellent knowledge of painting materials and application techniques.
- Proficient in surface preparation and finishing.
- Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for colour.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good physical condition and stamina to perform manual tasks.
- Valid UK driving licence.
Preferred Qualifications
