Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage security controls and policies for cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and security audits on cloud infrastructure.
- Monitor cloud security systems and tools for alerts, anomalies, and potential threats.
- Lead incident response activities for cloud security breaches, including investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal security policies.
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including procedures, guidelines, and architecture diagrams.
- Provide expert guidance and recommendations on cloud security best practices and emerging threats.
- Automate security tasks and processes using scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) and cloud-native tools.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of experience in cloud security engineering or analysis.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) security services and architectures.
- Proficiency with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, WAF, DLP, and vulnerability scanners.
- Experience with incident response processes and forensic analysis in cloud environments.
- Solid knowledge of networking concepts, firewalls, VPNs, and identity and access management (IAM).
- Familiarity with security frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001, and CSA CCM.
- Ability to analyze security logs and alerts to identify and resolve security issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Relevant cloud security certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate, CCSP, CCSK).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) security practices (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Knowledge of container security (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless architectures.
- Scripting experience in Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation and data analysis.
