Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain security systems, tools, and controls across network, endpoint, and cloud environments.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures in alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor security alerts, investigate incidents, and perform incident response activities, including containment, eradication, and recovery.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate security into the SDLC (Secure Development Lifecycle).
  • Perform threat modeling and risk assessments for new and existing systems and applications.
  • Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats, technologies, and intelligence, providing recommendations for improvements.
  • Provide security training and awareness to employees to foster a security-conscious culture.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in network security principles (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, proxies).
  • Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) systems.
  • Strong understanding of common attack vectors and mitigation techniques.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation.
  • Familiarity with cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, CEH).

  • Previous experience in incident response or security operations center (SOC) roles.
