Career.zycto is on the lookout for a talented and passionate UI Designer to join our dynamic and expanding team in Wortley, Leeds. As a UI Designer, you will be instrumental in creating engaging, intuitive, and aesthetically pleasing user interfaces for our diverse range of digital products. You’ll be involved in every stage of the design process, from initial conceptualisation and wireframing through to high-fidelity mockups and the creation of comprehensive design systems. Key Responsibilities
- Design and iterate on user interfaces for web and mobile applications, ensuring a consistent and intuitive user experience.
- Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
- Develop high-fidelity mockups and prototypes to present and test design solutions.
- Collaborate closely with UX designers, product managers, and developers to define and implement innovative solutions for product direction, visuals, and experience.
- Maintain and evolve our existing design system, ensuring consistency across all products and platforms.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to gather feedback and inform design decisions.
- Present and defend design decisions to stakeholders, backed by user research and design principles.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies, bringing fresh ideas to the team.
Required Skills
- Proven UI design experience with a strong portfolio showcasing a variety of projects.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
- Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, information architecture, and interaction design.
- Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction.
- Ability to create wireframes, prototypes, storyboards, user flows, etc.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
- Experience with motion graphics and animation for UI elements.
- Familiarity with front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to understand technical constraints.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices for inclusive design.
