Key Responsibilities

  • Design, plan, and execute a wide range of user research studies, including usability testing, interviews, surveys, card sorting, tree testing, and contextual inquiry.
  • Recruit and screen participants for research studies, ensuring a diverse and representative sample.
  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to identify user needs, behaviors, pain points, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Create compelling research reports, presentations, and artifacts (e.g., user personas, journey maps, empathy maps) that effectively communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and engineers to integrate user insights into product strategy, design, and development processes.
  • Act as a strong advocate for the user throughout the product lifecycle, influencing decisions with data-driven insights.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our target users, market trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our UX research methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Mentor junior researchers or team members on research techniques and principles, as needed.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in UX research, preferably within a tech or digital product environment.
  • Demonstrable expertise in various qualitative and quantitative research methods (e.g., usability testing, interviews, surveys, field studies).
  • Proficiency with UX research tools such such as UserTesting, Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, Optimal Workshop, or similar.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present research findings effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Solid understanding of UX principles, human-computer interaction (HCI), and design thinking methodologies.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Information Science, or a related field.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
  • A portfolio demonstrating successful application of UX research methodologies and impact on product development.
  • Familiarity with design tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD for understanding design concepts and prototypes.
