Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain our comprehensive design system, including components, patterns, and guidelines.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers, product managers, and front-end engineers to identify design system needs and priorities.
- Develop and document clear, concise usage guidelines for all design system elements.
- Ensure the design system components are accessible, performant, and consistent across all platforms and products.
- Advocate for the adoption and evolution of the design system across design and engineering teams.
- Conduct research into industry best practices and emerging trends in design systems and front-end development.
- Provide mentorship and support to designers and developers on how to best leverage the design system.
- Contribute to the strategic vision and roadmap for the design system's future growth.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of professional experience in UX/UI design, with a strong focus on design systems.
- Proficiency with design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
- Solid understanding of front-end development concepts (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and how they relate to design components.
- Experience in creating and maintaining design libraries and documentation.
- Strong visual design skills with an excellent eye for detail, typography, and layout.
- Demonstrable ability to articulate design decisions and rationale effectively.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
- A portfolio showcasing design system contributions or complex UI design projects.
