Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of designated areas, ensuring all access points are secure and reporting any irregularities.
- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems, promptly responding to any suspicious activity or incidents.
- Control access to premises, verifying credentials for visitors, contractors, and employees.
- Respond effectively to emergencies such as medical incidents, fires, or security breaches, following established protocols.
- Complete detailed reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities.
- De-escalate potential conflicts or disruptive situations calmly and professionally.
- Provide assistance and directions to clients and visitors in a courteous and helpful manner.
- Enforce company policies and procedures to ensure a safe and secure environment.
Required Skills
- Possess a valid Security Guard License issued by the Bureau de la sécurité privée (BSP) in Quebec, or be eligible and willing to obtain one immediately upon hire.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both French and English.
- Strong observational abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
- Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Sound judgment and problem-solving skills in high-pressure situations.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Previous experience in a customer service role.
- Familiarity with security technology and reporting software.
