Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport goods to designated locations across Mauritius.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or maintenance needs promptly.
- Load and unload vehicles as required, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, vehicle mileage, and fuel consumption.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers to ensure smooth operations and resolve issues.
- Represent Career.zycto professionally at all times, ensuring excellent customer service.
- Ensure the cleanliness and good condition of the company vehicle.
- Assist in route planning and optimization for efficiency and punctuality.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A/B driving license (Mauritian equivalent for Light/Heavy Goods Vehicle)
- Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience in a logistics or delivery setting.
- Clean driving record with no major traffic violations.
- Excellent knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws in Mauritius.
- Strong geographical knowledge of Mauritius, particularly Phoenix, Vacoas-Phoenix and surrounding areas.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, loading, and unloading.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and highly responsible work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Certificate or equivalent.
- Experience with various types of delivery vehicles (vans, light trucks).
- Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanics for routine troubleshooting.
- First Aid certification.
- Experience using GPS devices and navigation software.
