Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, person-centred care to clients, adhering to individual care plans.
- Supervise, mentor, and support junior care staff, ensuring best practices are followed.
- Administer medication accurately and safely, maintaining precise records.
- Assist clients with daily living activities, personal care, mobility, and feeding.
- Monitor and record clients' health, well-being, and any changes in condition, reporting concerns promptly.
- Liaise effectively with clients' families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies.
- Develop and update care plans in collaboration with clients, families, and management.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, company policies, and CQC standards.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and continuous professional development programs.
- Maintain accurate, confidential client records and documentation.
Required Skills
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a care setting, with at least 1 year in a senior or supervisory role.
- Proven experience in medication administration and management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in record-keeping and care plan documentation.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
Preferred Qualifications
- First Aid certification.
- Experience working with diverse client groups.
- Knowledge of local safeguarding policies and procedures.
