Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement scalable, secure, and resilient cloud automation solutions using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment, testing, and release of cloud resources and applications.
  • Manage and optimize cloud resources on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, ensuring cost-efficiency and performance.
  • Develop scripts and tools using languages like Python, PowerShell, or Bash to automate routine operational tasks.
  • Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to define automation requirements and integrate solutions.
  • Monitor cloud environments for performance, security, and compliance, implementing automated alerts and remediation.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Document cloud architecture, automation processes, and operational procedures.
  • Stay abreast of emerging cloud technologies and best practices, evaluating and recommending new tools and approaches.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Strong proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM Templates.
  • Extensive experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or CircleCI.
  • Expertise in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Solid understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts, security best practices, and monitoring tools in cloud environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert).
  • Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
  • Familiarity with serverless computing paradigms (Lambda, Azure Functions, Google Cloud Functions).
  • Experience with API integration and microservices architectures.
  • Knowledge of agile development methodologies.
