Key Responsibilities
- Design and conduct comprehensive user research studies, including qualitative (interviews, focus groups, ethnographic studies) and quantitative methods (surveys, analytics review).
- Plan and facilitate rigorous usability testing sessions, both moderated and unmoderated, to evaluate product prototypes and existing features.
- Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to identify user needs, pain points, behaviors, and motivations.
- Develop and present clear, concise, and actionable research findings and recommendations to product, design, and engineering teams.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate user insights into the product development lifecycle, from concept generation to post-launch iteration.
- Create and maintain user personas, journey maps, and other artifacts to communicate user understanding across the organization.
- Evangelize user-centered design principles and research best practices within the company.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our research methodologies and tools.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in designing and executing various UX research methods (usability testing, interviews, surveys, card sorting).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and derive actionable insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate research findings to diverse audiences.
- Proficiency with research tools (e.g., UserTesting, Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey) and data analysis software.
- Deep empathy for users and a curiosity to understand their perspectives.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying research opportunities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, or a related field.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
- Familiarity with A/B testing methodologies and interpretation of results.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis and data visualization techniques.
- Experience with design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD) for understanding prototypes.
- Portfolio demonstrating impactful UX research projects and outcomes.
