As a UX Designer, you will be deeply involved in the entire product development lifecycle, from initial research and conceptualization through to iteration and launch. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive user research, including interviews, surveys, usability testing, and competitive analysis, to understand user behaviours, needs, and motivations.
- Translate research findings, business requirements, and technical constraints into user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and detailed UI mock-ups for various digital products and features.
- Design and iterate on user interfaces, ensuring they are intuitive, accessible, and align with brand guidelines and visual design principles.
- Present and articulate design decisions to cross-functional teams and stakeholders, effectively communicating the rationale behind UX choices.
- Collaborate closely with product managers to define product vision, strategy, and roadmap, ensuring a user-centric approach is embedded throughout.
- Work alongside front-end developers to ensure designs are implemented accurately and to the highest quality standards, providing necessary assets and specifications.
- Participate in design critiques, offer constructive feedback, and continuously seek opportunities to improve design processes and tools.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in UX/UI design, advocating for their adoption where appropriate.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in UX design software (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Axure RP).
- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of UX/UI projects, including research, wireframing, prototyping, and visual design.
- Demonstrable experience with user-centred design principles and methodologies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design rationale clearly and persuasively.
- Solid understanding of web and mobile design best practices, usability, and accessibility standards.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
- Ability to conduct and analyze user research, translating findings into actionable design recommendations.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- Experience with motion design and animation principles to enhance user experience.
- Knowledge of front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to facilitate better collaboration with engineers.
- Experience designing for complex enterprise applications or data-intensive platforms.
- Familiarity with design systems implementation and maintenance.
