Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport passengers to their destinations using the most optimal routes.
- Provide excellent customer service, assisting passengers with luggage and responding to inquiries courteously.
- Maintain the cleanliness and good operating condition of the vehicle at all times, performing daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company policies.
- Manage daily logs, trip records, and fare collection accurately, using company-provided systems.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and colleagues to ensure smooth operations.
- Handle passenger complaints or emergencies with professionalism and follow established protocols.
- Stay updated on local road conditions, detours, and events that may affect travel times.
- Assist in scheduling and coordinating shuttle services as required for groups or events.
- Represent Career.zycto with a positive and professional image at all times.
Required Skills
- Valid Mauritian driving license (Class B or equivalent for professional driving)
- Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience (taxi, shuttle, or commercial driving)
- Thorough knowledge of La Caverne, Vacoas-Phoenix, and surrounding areas in Mauritius
- Excellent defensive driving skills and a clean driving record
- Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to operate GPS navigation systems and basic vehicle technology
- Punctuality and reliability
- Proficiency in English and Mauritian Creole
Preferred Qualifications
- Secondary school certificate or equivalent
- Fluency in French
- Experience with cashless payment systems and mobile booking applications
- First aid certification
