Career.zycto is seeking a highly vigilant and experienced CCTV Operator to join a dynamic security team in Garissa County, Kenya. In this critical role, you will be the eyes and ears of our client’s security operations, responsible for continuous monitoring of surveillance systems to ensure the safety and security of premises, assets, and personnel. Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor CCTV surveillance systems with a high degree of vigilance, ensuring continuous coverage of designated areas.
- Proactively identify and report any suspicious activities, security breaches, unauthorized access, or unusual occurrences.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to alarms and security incidents, coordinating with on-site security teams and emergency services as required.
- Document all incidents, observations, and actions taken accurately and thoroughly in daily logs and incident reports.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all sensitive information and footage obtained through surveillance.
- Conduct regular checks of CCTV equipment to ensure optimal functionality and report any malfunctions or technical issues.
- Assist in the retrieval and review of surveillance footage for investigations, providing clear and concise evidence.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and relevant security regulations.
- Provide clear and concise verbal communication to security personnel on the ground during incidents.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a CCTV Operator or in a similar security monitoring role.
- Proficiency in operating various CCTV software and hardware systems.
- Exceptional observation skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and Swahili.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound judgments under pressure.
- Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated reliability and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Knowledge of security procedures and protocols.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant certification in security operations or surveillance techniques.
- Experience with advanced analytics features in CCTV systems.
- First Aid and basic fire safety certification.
- Prior experience working in a security-sensitive environment within Kenya.
