Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespersons (e.g., carpenters, masons, plumbers, electricians) with various tasks as directed.
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from work areas.
- Prepare construction sites by cleaning debris, trash, and hazardous materials.
- Dig trenches, shovel earth, and compact soil using hand tools or small power equipment.
- Set up and dismantle temporary structures such as scaffolding, barricades, and safety nets.
- Operate basic hand and power tools safely and efficiently under supervision.
- Perform general maintenance and cleaning of tools and equipment.
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations on site to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist with concrete mixing, pouring, and finishing tasks.
- Support site supervisors in maintaining an organized and efficient worksite.
Required Skills
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor for extended periods.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly and safely.
