You will work closely with experienced publishing professionals, gaining hands-on experience in various aspects of copyright administration, licensing, metadata management, and general office support. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the administration and organization of publishing catalogs, including metadata entry and data clean-up.
  • Support the licensing team by preparing documents, tracking requests, and managing communication with licensees.
  • Process incoming mail, manage physical and digital files, and maintain organized record-keeping systems.
  • Help with royalty statement reconciliation and data entry, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Conduct basic research on copyright registrations, song credits, and industry trends.
  • Provide general administrative support, including scheduling, correspondence, and preparing presentations.
  • Liaise with songwriters, artists, and internal teams to gather necessary information and facilitate smooth operations.
  • Assist with the onboarding process for new catalog acquisitions and songwriter agreements.
  • Learn and utilize various music publishing databases and software platforms.
  • Contribute to special projects as needed to support the overall goals of the publishing department.

Required Skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Demonstrated passion for music and a basic understanding of the music industry.
