Career.zycto is excited to announce an opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our partner equestrian team as a Stable Hand. This entry-level position is perfect for someone who dreams of working with horses but may not have prior professional experience. As a Stable Hand, you will be integral to the smooth running of the stables, ensuring the welfare and comfort of our magnificent horses. Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily mucking out of stables, ensuring clean and hygienic living conditions for horses.
- Prepare and distribute feed and fresh water according to strict dietary schedules and individual horse requirements.
- Turn horses out to paddocks and bring them in, managing their movement safely and calmly.
- Groom horses regularly, maintaining their coat health and checking for any signs of injury or discomfort.
- Assist with basic stable maintenance, including sweeping yards, tidying tack rooms, and cleaning equipment.
- Monitor the health and well-being of all horses, reporting any concerns or changes in behaviour to senior staff.
- Assist experienced grooms and riders with various tasks as needed, including preparing horses for exercise or lessons.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to all health and safety guidelines.
- Handle horses with care, patience, and confidence, building trust and positive relationships.
