Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Manager to lead our financial operations in Gold Coast, Queensland. This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of financial management, from strategic planning and budgeting to financial reporting and compliance. You will be instrumental in guiding our financial health, ensuring fiscal responsibility, and providing insightful analysis to support key business decisions. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with senior leadership, department heads, and external stakeholders to drive operational efficiency and contribute directly to the company’s sustained success and expansion. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all financial accounting, reporting, and control activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Australian accounting standards (AASB) and corporate policies.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor financial strategies, budgets, and forecasts to support organizational goals and drive profitability.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial statements, management reports, and analysis for executive leadership, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Oversee cash flow management, working capital, and treasury functions to optimize financial resources.
  • Lead the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors, ensuring timely completion and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Provide expert financial advice and support to various departments, assisting with project evaluations, cost control, and business planning.
  • Ensure compliance with all tax regulations (GST, FBT, Payroll Tax) and other relevant statutory requirements.
  • Mentor and develop a small finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • CPA or CA qualification (Chartered Accountant or Certified Practising Accountant).
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles, with at least 3 years in a management position.
  • Strong understanding of Australian accounting standards (AASB) and tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Xero, MYOB).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Finance.
  • Experience in the professional services or consulting industry.
  • Demonstrated experience with process improvement and automation in finance functions.
