You’ll work across a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, and industrial sites, tackling a range of complex challenges from routine maintenance to emergency repairs and new installations. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on a variety of HVAC systems, including split systems, ducted systems, VRV/VRF systems, chillers, and boilers.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical faults in HVAC equipment efficiently and accurately.
  • Execute repairs, replacements, and installations of HVAC components, ensuring adherence to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
  • Conduct thorough system checks, pressure testing, and refrigerant handling in compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Provide detailed reports on work performed, including parts used, time spent, and recommendations for future service or upgrades.
  • Maintain accurate service records and effectively communicate with clients regarding service status, findings, and solutions.
  • Respond promptly to emergency service calls, often outside of regular business hours, to minimize system downtime.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and company policies, promoting a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and other trades to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Stay updated with new HVAC technologies, techniques, and regulations through continuous learning and professional development.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as an HVAC Service Technician
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for a wide range of HVAC systems
  • Proficiency in electrical schematics and control wiring
  • Valid Refrigerant Handling License (ARC Tick)
  • Valid Australian Driver's License
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong commitment to safety practices
  • Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Trade Certificate III in Air-conditioning and Refrigeration
  • Experience with building management systems (BMS)
  • First Aid certification
  • OHS White Card
  • Experience with commercial and industrial HVAC systems
