Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive qualitative and quantitative research on policy-related issues relevant to regional development.
- Analyze complex data sets, identify trends, and synthesize findings into clear, concise reports, briefs, and presentations.
- Formulate evidence-based policy recommendations and strategic advice for various stakeholders, including government and community leaders.
- Monitor, evaluate, and report on the implementation and impact of policy initiatives.
- Engage with experts, community members, and other stakeholders to gather insights and build consensus.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the political, economic, and social landscape of Isiolo and Kenya.
- Contribute to grant proposals, project designs, and other documentation as required.
- Represent Career.zycto at relevant forums, workshops, and meetings.
Required Skills
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, Political Science, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in policy analysis, research, or a related field.
- Demonstrated expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly.
- Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., SPSS, R, Stata, Excel) and presentation tools.
- Strong understanding of the Kenyan policy landscape and socio-economic context.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with government agencies, NGOs, or international development organizations in East Africa.
- Familiarity with project management principles and practices.
