Key Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred care and support in clients' homes, adhering strictly to individual care plans.
- Assist clients with personal care routines, including washing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support with mobility, transfers, and use of mobility aids.
- Help with medication administration, following prescribed guidelines and training.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals, ensuring dietary requirements and preferences are met.
- Assist with light household duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
- Offer companionship and engage clients in stimulating activities.
- Monitor and report any changes in clients' health, behaviour, or well-being to the senior care team.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records and documentation.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Communicate effectively and empathetically with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
Required Skills
- Genuine passion for helping others and improving quality of life.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and highly organised.
- Strong observational and reporting skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings.
- Full UK driving license and access to a reliable vehicle (preferred but not essential for all roles).
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
- Previous experience in a care setting (e.g., as a Carer, Support Worker, or Healthcare Assistant).
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and first aid.
- Experience working with individuals with diverse needs, including dementia care.
