As a Delivery Rider with Career.zycto, you will play a crucial role in our daily operations, directly contributing to customer satisfaction and the success of countless local enterprises. You will be responsible for picking up various items, from important documents and retail goods to prepared meals, and delivering them across designated routes within Westlands and surrounding areas. Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently pick up and deliver various items (packages, documents, food, etc.) to designated locations within Westlands and surrounding areas.
- Plan and execute optimal delivery routes to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Operate a motorcycle or bicycle safely and responsibly, adhering to all traffic laws and company safety guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and customer interactions using a smartphone application.
- Communicate proactively with customers and the dispatch team regarding delivery status or any unforeseen delays.
- Handle items with care, ensuring their integrity from pickup to delivery.
- Process cash or mobile payments accurately when required.
- Represent Career.zycto professionally and courteously at all times.
- Perform routine checks on the delivery vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
Required Skills
- Valid motorcycle driving license (if applicable) or proven cycling proficiency.
- Excellent knowledge of Nairobi's road networks, especially Westlands and surrounding areas.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to use smartphone applications for navigation and order management.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of responsibility and reliability.
- Physical fitness and stamina to handle demanding delivery schedules and varying weather conditions.
- Proficiency in English and Swahili.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a delivery rider or in a similar courier role.
- Experience with GPS navigation and route optimization tools.
- Familiarity with various payment processing methods (cash, mobile money).
