Key Responsibilities
- Load raw materials, components, and products into production machinery according to specifications and production schedules.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure continuous feeding and identify any material flow issues or blockages.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all 5S principles and facility cleanliness standards.
- Perform basic quality checks on materials before loading and on finished products as they exit the machine.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, material defects, or safety concerns to the supervisor immediately.
- Assist with machine setup, changeovers, and minor adjustments under supervision when required.
- Follow all safety protocols, wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to optimize production output and efficiency.
- Accurately record production data, material usage, and downtime as instructed.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures in a manufacturing environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting.
- Proficiency in reading and understanding basic work instructions in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience (6+ months) in a factory, warehouse, or production environment.
- Familiarity with various types of manufacturing machinery.
- Experience operating a forklift or pallet jack (certification an asset).
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
