Job Description
This role as a Microfinance Officer with Career.zycto in Waithaka, Nairobi, offers a vital opportunity to directly contribute to the economic upliftment of local communities. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct client outreach and mobilization within Waithaka and surrounding areas.
- Perform thorough loan appraisals, including business and household visits, cash flow analysis, and risk assessment.
- Ensure timely and accurate loan disbursement in accordance with company policies.
- Monitor loan performance and manage collection efforts to maintain a healthy portfolio.
- Provide financial literacy training and business advisory services to clients.
- Maintain accurate client records and prepare regular reports on portfolio performance.
- Actively participate in group meetings and community engagement initiatives.
- Resolve client inquiries and issues promptly and professionally.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 18 months of proven experience in microfinance, banking, or a related financial services role.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Strong analytical and numerical skills for loan appraisal and risk assessment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Ability to ride a motorbike (valid license preferred) for field work.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
- Fluency in English and Swahili.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working with underserved communities.
- Knowledge of local market dynamics in Waithaka, Nairobi.
- Familiarity with microfinance software or CRM systems.
