Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care assistance, including showering, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary requirements are met.
  • Perform light household duties such as cleaning, laundry, and tidying living spaces.
  • Administer medication reminders and assist with medication management as required.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
  • Assist clients with mobility, transfers, and exercises as per care plan.
  • Facilitate client engagement in social activities and community outings.
  • Document client care, observations, and incidents accurately and promptly.
  • Adhere strictly to all health and safety guidelines and care protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and the care team.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a caregiving or support role.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Valid Australian Driver's License and reliable transportation.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated empathy, patience, and a compassionate nature.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care, Disability, or Home and Community Care).
  • Experience working with diverse client groups, including those with dementia or disabilities.
