Career.zycto is seeking a charismatic and skilled Bartender to join our lively team for the night shift at our vibrant venue in Gateshead, Newcastle upon Tyne. As a Night Shift Bartender, you will be an integral part of our evening operations, responsible for maintaining the energy and flow of the bar during peak hours. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and flair.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional, and timely manner, providing excellent customer service.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Process payments accurately using our POS system and handle cash responsibly.
- Monitor guest consumption of alcohol and intervene responsibly when necessary.
- Collaborate effectively with front-of-house and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist with inventory management, including stocking, rotating, and ordering bar supplies.
- Adhere to all licensing laws and company policies regarding alcohol service.
- Contribute to a positive team environment and uphold the venue's reputation for exceptional service.
- Prepare garnishes and ingredients for drinks, ensuring freshness and quality.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Bartender, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Basic math skills and experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Availability to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 in Food and Beverage Service or equivalent hospitality qualification.
- Personal Licence Holder or willingness to obtain one.
- Experience with themed events or special promotions.
- Knowledge of local licensing laws and responsible alcohol service practices.
- A passion for mixology and a desire to continuously learn new recipes and techniques.
