This is an immediate hiring opportunity for individuals who are committed to ensuring the safe and timely transportation of students to and from school, as well as for various school-related activities.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate a school bus safely and efficiently on assigned routes, adhering to strict schedules.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all passengers, enforcing safety rules and managing student behaviour.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean and tidy bus interior, ensuring a comfortable environment for students.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with students, parents, school staff, and management.
- Adhere to all provincial traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Assist students with special needs, including proper use of ramps and securement systems, as required.
- Attend mandatory safety meetings, training sessions, and professional development programs.
Required Skills
- Valid Alberta Class 2 Driver’s License with Air Brake Endorsement (or ability to obtain).
- Clean Driver's Abstract (less than 5 demerits) and criminal record check.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to traffic laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially with children and parents.
- Ability to work split shifts (early mornings and afternoons) during the school year.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a professional driver, particularly school bus driving.
- Knowledge of Airdrie and surrounding area roadways.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
