Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Early Childhood Educators with daily routines and educational activities.
  • Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Prepare and serve meals and snacks, adhering to dietary requirements and hygiene standards.
  • Support children with personal care routines, including toileting and nappy changing.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Engage children in age-appropriate play, storytelling, and creative projects.
  • Communicate effectively with educators, children, and parents/guardians.
  • Observe and report children's progress and any concerns to lead educators.
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities.

Required Skills

  • Genuine passion for working with children aged 0-5 years.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current Working With Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain one.
  • First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
  • Previous volunteer or paid experience in a childcare setting is a bonus but not essential.
  • Enrolment in or desire to pursue a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.
