Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and implementation of engaging, age-appropriate educational programs aligned with the EYLF.
- Provide individual and small group support to children, catering to diverse developmental needs and learning styles.
- Maintain a safe, hygienic, and stimulating indoor and outdoor learning environment.
- Observe and document children's development and learning, contributing to assessment and planning processes.
- Collaborate effectively with lead educators, colleagues, and families to ensure holistic support for children.
- Support children with social, emotional, and behavioural regulation, promoting positive interactions and conflict resolution.
- Participate actively in team meetings, professional development opportunities, and centre events.
- Adhere strictly to all centre policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including child protection guidelines.
Required Skills
- Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent recognised qualification).
- Current Working With Children Check (WWCC) in NSW.
- Current First Aid, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma management certifications.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Framework (NQF).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Proven ability to adapt to varying situations and maintain a positive attitude under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in an early learning or childcare setting (placement experience will be considered).
- Experience working with children with additional needs or diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Proficiency in using digital platforms for documentation and communication.
- A genuine passion for early childhood education and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
