Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate a company vehicle to deliver packages to various locations within Wigginton, York, and surrounding areas.
- Perform daily vehicle checks and maintain cleanliness, reporting any issues promptly.
- Load and unload packages carefully, ensuring all items are accounted for and secured.
- Adhere strictly to scheduled routes and delivery times, prioritizing punctuality.
- Interact professionally and courteously with customers, representing Career.zycto positively.
- Process delivery paperwork and utilize hand-held scanning devices accurately.
- Navigate routes using GPS and local knowledge, adapting to traffic and road conditions.
- Maintain a clean and valid driving license at all times.
- Comply with all traffic laws and company safety regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve any delivery-related queries or issues.
- Collaborate effectively with the dispatch team to ensure smooth operations.
Required Skills
- Valid UK driving license (Category B minimum).
- Clean driving record (minimal points, no serious endorsements).
- Proven experience in a delivery or courier role (minimum 12 months).
- Excellent knowledge of Wigginton, York, and surrounding areas.
